The Consultation
A homeopath needs to assess your health on all levels - emotional, physical and psychological seeing the body and mind as interconnected. Therefore your medical history, lifestyle, stresses and symptoms, how you perceive them and how they affect you are all taken into account. Rather than looking at your presenting symptoms in isolation Homeopathy looks at the whole person. Once this has been discussed, a remedy will be prescribed for you that is very individualised for your needs. Homeopaths see every one as unique; therefore two people with the same complaint will not be prescribed the same remedy! The first consultation will last for 90 minutes (Children 60 mins) with initial follow up appointments (45 mins) generally 4 weeks apart to assess your progress. How long you require treatment for is again very individualised and depends on the severity of your complaint. ........................................................................................... Remedies are derived from plants, minerals and other substances. They are small sweet tasting tablets that are sucked under the tongue till dissolved and therefore easy for anyone to take, including babies and children. ...........................................................................................
